Heat shrink tubing provides an additional protective layer around the battery pack, helping prevent accidental short circuits, abrasion, dust, and moisture exposure while giving the finished battery pack a clean and professional appearance. The lay-flat construction makes the sleeve easy to cut and position around battery packs of different shapes and sizes. When heated using a suitable heat gun, the PVC material contracts around the battery pack to provide a snug and secure covering. For improved durability, multiple layers can be used on battery packs with sharp corners or edges.
